Who's behind the music?
PRESCRIPTION for SLEEP: UNDER a SCARLET MOON is a soothing jazz album written by Jayson "Arcubalis" Napolitano the founder of Scarlet Moon Records and arranged, performed, and recorded by the artist GENTLE LOVE, an amazing jazz duo consisting of saxophonist Norihiko Hibino, who has worked on games such as Metal Gear Solid and the Bayonetta series and pianist AYAKI, who worked on Entrain Odyssey and is a Streets of Rage performer. The album is approximately 35 minutes and 3 seconds long.
The album was released on May 18, 2025, as a pay-what-you-want album. The album was released as a fun, celebratory album to commemorate 11 years of the PRESCRIPTION for SLEEP series. PRESCRIPTION for SLEEP: UNDER a SCARLET MOON is the 16th album in the Billboard-charting jazz series.
I'm not going to lie, this is the first time I have ever heard of Scarlet Moon. They are a music label that helps out both small and large creators. The Scarlet Moon record label is a roster for a host of musical talents. The label helps out creators in many ways, varying from handling audio needs to album covers and more. Scarlet Moon has a sister brand called Violet Moon, which helps promote independent video games. (How awesome is that?)
What do I think you may wonder?
Personally... I enjoyed listening to this album. However, I am a lady (I say lady loosely) of many tastes and love all genres of music from Heavy metal to good old country and western, amongst many more.
Jazz is not my usual go-to genre for chill-out tunes, however, I'm listening to the album as I type, and let me tell you! It's incredibly relaxing! I keep shutting my eyes and losing my train of thought, it's quite therapeutic. I think Sunlit Vista is my favourite track on this album. (I've listened to the album a few times now)

Jazz lovers, your ears are in for a sweet musical treat. Let me set the scene...
Imagine this... Coming home from a hard day's work (or even just a hard day's gaming) and you just want to chill out and relax... You kick off your shoes and fall backwards on the bed. You can't be bothered to move, your headphones are right next to you. You put them on and start looking for something chilled-out to listen to. You're scrolling through, and all of a sudden a gentle piano starts playing... You pause your scrolling... the piano is so soft and sophisticated. It's soon joined by a soothing saxophone that teases your ears with a gentle melody... they play along to each other in harmony. While you listen, the hypnotic melody sweeps you away to an entirely different world. (insert your imagination here)
