WW2 Rebuilder: Remagen Map DLC, the newest free update to WW2 Rebuilder, was released on Steam today.
WW2 Rebuilder: Remagen Map DLC is, as for now, the last map announced by Madnetic Games, an indie gamedev behind WW2 Rebuilder. Today marks the date of the update’s release on Steam, where it is available as a free DLC. Adrian Jabłonka - CEO of the polish studio - explains the choice of the Remagen area as the next map:
“Our game is a popular science project - with this map we refer back to the most important events of world war II. We want to encourage people to explore stories of ordinary citizens during the war”.
In this level players are tasked not only with rebuilding the town of Remagen. They also have an opportunity to visit the Ludendorff Bridge and its surroundings and create an alternative version of history by repairing the bridge.
While speaking about the development process, Jabłonka mentions the difficulties of creating this map:
“We’ve encountered different challenges on each stage of development. The main one was the choice between level design and technology - optimization competed with visuals of the level”.
The studio managed to overcome the problems and after a successful playtest that concluded on October 1st WW2 Rebuilder: Remagen Map DLC is available on Steam as a free update.
Remagen is the eleventh and last map available in WW2 Rebuilder. Madnetic Games is currently working on three other projects: Photography Simulator, Mythos: Build & Survive and Heavy Duty Construction.
