World of Dabado is a Charming Hand-Drawn RPG Now on Gamefound

Beautiful hand-drawn artwork, nostalgic RPG gameplay, intricate world-building with a vast body of lore, and live music make for the complete package for crowdfunding consideration

Independent game developer Viktor Mazhlekov is pleased to reveal World of Dabado, a charming RPG adventure with hand-drawn artwork, intricate story, and live soundtrack. Players assume the role of Agomo after a shipwreck to uncover the island of Dabado's beauties, meet its mystical inhabitants, solve intricate quests, craft unique items, complete dozens puzzles, and face dangerous adversaries to unveil the secret of the Well of Life, granting ultimate freedom. World of Dabado is currently planned to be available in demo form in 2027 and is now on the Gamefound crowdfunding platform to raise funds for development.

"Creating World of Dabado is the culmination of many passions in my life," notes developer Viktor Mazhlekov. "From my most cherished memories as a gamer with role-playing games such as Gemstone Warrior, Baldur's Gate, Planescape Torment, and Fallout to my primary profession as an artist, World of Dabado brings these together in a way that will push me to my limits but also be my ultimate expression as an artist. I hope the extremely laborious process of drawing each location on cardboard with pencils and watercolors gives the world charm, uniqueness, and vitality."

The Gamefound crowdfunding campaign will run through April 24, 2026 to raise €22,000 to fund the game's visuals and sound. Copies of the game are available at the €15 support tier with additions like the game's soundtrack, buttons, and contributing to the design of the game available at higher pledge tiers. If the campaign is able to achieve its goal, there are already plans to tap into the massive trove of lore that has been written to extend the scenario to include even more adventures for Agomo and friends.
