MARCHE, ITALY - October 21, 2025 - Independent game developer Lupio Studios is pleased to present The Last Worlds: Crossed Souls, an immersive open-world RPG with a charming visual aesthetic and a fluffy companion, Lupio, for whom the studio is named. The team is comprised of three brothers who have a love for classic JRPG titles, including inspirations from Dragon Quest, The Legend Of Zelda, Monster Hunter, and Pokémon. Their passion and hard work have culminated in a demo release for players to experience The Last Worlds for themselves and consider backing the project on Kickstarter where it funded within 44 hours. The campaign is now working towards stretch goals, including a potential collaboration with Scarlet Moon composer Yuko Komiyama, who is renowned for her work on the Monster Hunter, FINAL FANTASY, and Mega Man X franchises. The demo is linked from the game's Kickstarter page:

The Last Worlds: Crossed Souls Kickstarter campaign will run through November 11, 2025 and is currently 150% funded. Copies of the game begin at $25 USD with physical editions already planned and available starting at $49 USD. Additional rewards include physical merchandise and designing the game's items, locations, and even pets at higher support tiers. The Last Worlds: Crossed Souls is planned for release on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC in 2026.

"Our love for videogames began in our very young age," notes Lupio Studios brothers Pasquale, Vittorio, and Matteo. "Since childhood, we've been shaped by the worlds of Zelda, Pokémon, and Monster Hunter. Our biggest inspiration, however comes from the Dragon Quest saga. Its blend of drama, irony, and important values in a fantasy adventure captured our hearts early on. Now, we've spent four years chasing our dream: making a game together. Despite our limited resources, our passion and hard work pushed us, and what we're sharing now is just the beginning. We are hopeful for the support of RPG fans who want to join us on this incredible journey!"
