Today at gamescom Opening Night Live Archetype Entertainment announced that its upcoming Sci-Fi Action RPG, EXODUS, will launch worldwide on April 7, 2027, on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Epic Games Store.
In the new cinematic gameplay trailer, players are further introduced to Salt, an Awakened octopus mercenary and bounty hunter who joins Jun's journey as a companion. During the video, fans are given another glimpse into the game's combat and the rich universe that players will explore when EXODUS launches next year.
New reveals from gamescom Opening Night Live include:
Confirmed Launch Date: EXODUS will make its galactic arrival on April 7, 2027.
Salt Spotlighted: Piloting a specialized combat mech, Salt is a master of long-range sniping, quick evasive maneuvers, and ink-like smokescreens that confuse and disorient enemies. She thrives where others can’t, and in the middle of a fight, no one quite has Jun’s back like she does.
Jun and Salt, two strangers hardened by very different worlds, find themselves standing back-to-back against the same enemy, fighting not just to survive, but to protect the one thing worth going back to: home
Keep an Eye out for Emrys: Salt isn’t the only one fighting alongside Jun. Emrys, a member of the Deva, an enigmatic Celestial species defined by many consciousness, also joins the fight.
Emrys plays support, launching Remnant Orbs that drain and weaken enemies while feeding the stolen power back into Jun as protection.
Ahead of the reveal, Archetype has announced EXODUS Wishlist Milestones as a continuous thank you to everyone anticipating the game’s upcoming release. Having already surpassed 500,000 wishlists, the first milestone of rewards has already been achieved and grants players a Celestial Star Map Decoration for their in-game apartment and unlocks a new batch of concept art and the first available EXODUS music track, "Elegy for a Forgotten World". Fans will be able to continue unlocking both ingame and out-of-game rewards like outfit cosmetics, a Salt Companion Story Cinematic, and more music tracks as other upcoming milestones are reached.
