Shropshire, 16th July 2025 - Developed by Tall Story Games, Lucy Dreaming has won fans and critics over with its clever puzzles, rich storytelling, detailed 90s-style pixel-art, and uniquely British sense of humour, drawing inspiration from comedy classics like Blackadder, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, and Monty Python. It is a heartfelt homage to the golden age of adventure games. Now, the studio is inviting PS5 and PS4 players to explore both Lucy’s hometown and her subconscious to solve the disturbing mystery lurking beneath.
Step into the life and dreams of Lucy, a young girl plagued by recurring nightmares. Ride your bicycle around the fictional Northern British town of Figgington and discover how to control Lucy’s dreams as you delve deeper into her subconscious and unravel a long-buried family mystery that could explain the darkness haunting her sleep.
Fans of classic LucasArts titles like The Secret of Monkey Island and Day of the Tentacle will feel right at home — and with good reason: Lucy Dreaming features voice acting from Dominic Armato, the iconic voice of Guybrush Threepwood himself.
Further to the game's arrival on PlayStation, Lucy Dreaming will be updated to add further localisation options across all platforms - in addition to English and German. French, Spanish, and Italian players will now be able to laugh, smile, and groan in the same places as English and German-speaking players, with localisations crafted for cultural authenticity. Careful attention has been paid to translating the game’s wit, wordplay, and cultural quirks, ensuring that jokes and puns work naturally in other languages, rather than being simply translated.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to bring Lucy Dreaming to new audiences. It’s been a joy watching players fall in love with Lucy’s story and we can’t wait to share her world with a whole new audience of gamers. We’ve poured so much heart into this game, and we’re excited for more people to experience its humour, puzzles, and charm for the first time."
