Leipzig, Germany - August 7, 2025 | Leipzig-based Homo Narrans Studio has announced their upcoming retro-inspired point-and-click detective adventure, Casebook 1899 - The Leipzig Murders is launching on PC (via Steam) on September 4.

After four years in development, solo developer Gregor Müller is excited to release Casebook 1899 – The Leipzig Murders. Throughout its development, the game has attracted attention within the point-and-click adventure community and has been showcased at events such as AdventureX, Indie Game Fest Cologne, CAGGTUS, and NEXO. It also earned second place in the newcomer category at the Games Innovation Award Saxony (GIAS).

Casebook 1899 - The Leipzig Murders is a richly atmospheric, retro-inspired point-and-click adventure that immerses players in a rarely explored chapter of European history. Set in Leipzig, Germany at the dawn of the 20th century, the game invites players to step into the role of Detective Joseph Kreiser as he investigates a string of mysterious murders across the city.

As Kreiser, you’ll examine clues, interrogate suspects, and piece together evidence to solve four murder cases. In a classic point-and-click format, Casebook 1899 - The Leipzig Murders will transport players to a less-explored era of German history.

Casebook 1899 - The Leipzig Murders is launching on PC (via Steam) on September 4. More updates will be shared leading up to launch on their Bluesky account, or you can sign up to their newsletter via their website.
