Barbarian Saga: The Beastmaster Unleashes Epic New Gameplay Trailer

Publisher SelectaPlay, in partnership with indie developer Dormidin Studio, has released an action-packed new gameplay trailer for the upcoming 2D action-adventure Barbarian Saga: The Beastmaster, offering a deeper look at its brutal combat, mystical transformations, and sprawling Metroidvania-inspired world.

Alongside the new trailer, SelectaPlay has confirmed that standard physical editions for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch will launch alongside the game’s global digital release across PC via Steam, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch in Fall 2026. Fans eager to own a physical copy of the adventure will be able to pre-order the boxed editions from participating retailers.

Inspired by the cult fantasy films and classic games of the 80s and 90s, including Beastmaster, Conan, Deathstalker, Castlevania, Golden Axe, and Ghouls ’n’ Ghosts, Barbarian Saga: The Beastmaster delivers a nostalgic yet modern action-platforming experience set in the richly imagined world of Arborea. Every character, creature, and environment has been hand-drawn and animated through hundreds of detailed sketches, bringing the brutal fantasy world vividly to life.

Created by two friends who met at a cosplay event and bonded over their love of retro fantasy adventures, Dormidin Studio has crafted a sprawling journey filled with dangerous enemies, mystical powers, and a prophecy that could unite the realms of men and beasts.

The game is available to wishlist now on Steam and PlayStation 5, with wishlist pages for Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series coming soon. Players who want to secure the PlayStation 5 or Nintendo Switch physical editions can also pre-order now through select retailers.
